  • Yes. Our childminders have lived experience with Type 1 Diabetes, which means they understand the daily realities, routines, and emotional side of T1D care. We know how important it is for families to feel understood, supported, and safe.

  • Absolutely. All our carers hold:

    • CPR certification

    • First Aid qualifications

    • Working With Children Checks (WWCC)

    • Police Checks

    Your child’s safety and wellbeing are always our highest priority.

  • Our carers are trained or experienced in supporting essential T1D management, including glucagon use, finger prick testing, MDI (insulin injections), hypo treatment, bolusing, blood glucose monitoring, and help with insulin pumps and CGM/sensor changes.

  • We support children aged 5 to 14 years living with Type 1 Diabetes. Please contact us to discuss your child’s individual needs and how we can best support your family.

  • Of course. We understand how difficult it can be for parents of children with T1D to find trusted support. Whether you need a date night, time for self-care, appointments, work commitments, or simply a chance to rest, we’re here to help.

  • We take the time to get to know your family, your child’s routines, diabetes management plan, preferences, and any concerns you may have. We want both parents and children to feel comfortable and confident before care begins.

  • Yes, we can accommodate this. When we do the booking, we can discuss preferred method of communication.
